The whole school along with the Anglican church marched for peace in silence the morning of the 10th February and in support of King Abdullah regarding the death of the pilot Kasasbeh.
On February 5th was a training day for our teachers by Guenter and Lydia from Germany. This training will help to further improve the education of our visually impaired students. Lydia has specialized in such trainings in Germany.

Today the school welcomed a special group of visitors, the Most Rev. Dr. Katharine Schori, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America, Bishop Suheil Dawani of the Jerusalem Diocese, and other members of the American Episcopal Church. We were happy to give them a tour of our school and to introduce them to the work we do integrating blind, low vision, and sighted students.
On the 23rd of December, the children's choir held a Christmas Concert at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Irbid. The choir was made up of 14 students from the Arab Episcopal School and other children from the congregation. The performance was directed and accompanied by Judith Damian, one of the volunteers at the school from Evangelical Mission in Solidarity. They sang Christmas songs for the congregation and community in Arabic, English, and German.

Spring Update
We’ve been busy, busy, busy this spring.
First, we were honored and blessed to receive Alexander and Maximilian Blume two German Jazz musicians who performed more than 15 times to benefit our school. Additionally, they gave teachers from our school and other guests a seminar explaining how to enhance class room learning, with music.
